new 07 -08 honda civic coupe for first car??

so, my loved ones and i've been researching and looking at hondas, more specifically the civic coupes ( the 06-08 style). im simply head-over-heels with them, and i especially love them in the light silver blue! i know honda is an incredibly reliable and safe brand, do you believe it's a great choice for a first auto?(oh, we might get an 06/07 used, with like under 15,000 miles, or a new 08)i know everybody says they're a 'great driver' however i've been driving with my parents for a year, and have taken drivers ed, and i'm a VERY cautious person, i NEVER speed, and am a very defensive driver, i watch other individuals very carefully bc i understand that bc i'm so cautious they're more probable to gain in a wreck with me, than i'm to cause one myself...so unless i get in a wreck that's not myself , i feel i've a very low chance of being in an accident caused by myself, even though i know anything could happen . however i'm Many more cautious than the majority of teen drivers out there.

honda civic coupe 07 EX HORRIBLE GAS MILAGE!?

According to fueleconomy.gov im supposed to be getting at least 25 mpg city driving. I reside in san francisco where the're steep ass hills and pretty bad traffic however i do not see how that explains me gettin about 17 mpg ( i got 220 miles on a complete tank). I have been driving similar to a grandma for the past a fortnight creating certain that it is not my driving thats the dilemma. There's not a single lights blinking in my car and all the things sounds fine. My tire pressure is also not the dilemma. What are a number of other factors which could contribute to me getting shitty miles on my civic? What ought to i do?i shoudlnt say bad traffic.. it is more like im at a stop light each 10 seconds

im thinking about buying on however i sought to know if theres anything i ought to know about it i currently have a 2000 civic si i see many the 06-07 civics online for sale im wondering if thers anything i ought to know about them or if anybody knows why theres so a lot of them used for sale?
