Honda Civic 2000?I'm looking to purchase an auto, a local dealer is offering a 2000 Honda Civic for $8000. It has 106,000 miles on it, it feels strong and looks great.My question is, how a lot miles can I expect to gain out of this auto? The dealer claims that Civics can go to 200,000 miles. I usually do not drive much, maybe 4000 miles a year, however have a number of trips ahead of me of about 2000 miles. Is this car likely to make it OK? Are there exceptional maintanance difficulties I desire to learn about?Also, the ceiling of the trunk has no pad, the speakers and wires are exposed, is there supposed to become a pad there?Thanks.Read more on this topic 2000 honda civic si or 2000 acura integra type-r?i've a 2000 honda civic si ( had it about 4years, still drives like new), anyways, i only test drove a 2001 integra type-r about a week ago, and i should say it was superior than sex. I know the redline says 8400 rpm, however that car goes all the way to 8900rpm, as compared to mine that most likely stops at 8200rpm. Unlike my Si, which screams vtech however doesnt move (torqueless), the type r carries the driver all the way past the redline, it's like there's torque at each rpm. All these time, i thought my car was quick. What makes this type-r quicker than my car apart from handling. My Si is all stock except for the tein complete suspension which makes my si handle superior than the type-r. Do i need to purchase an entire new engine for the auto, bcos i don't have 4000 dollars to spend on another engine, when the one i've can very well go another 100,000 miles or more. Can i get a number of advice. BTW, i reside in an partment complex, however everytime i get home from work and park my car i'm always scared the entire night, and need to somethimes wake up and night only to check on the car (sounds crazy huh?), i think the car wont be there in the early part of the day. One of my buddies had his 2000 gsr stolen a few weeks ago later to locate it a few weeks later stripped out to not a thing, practically worthless (no engine, no seats, no tires, no steering wheels, no brakes, no cluster the list goes on)Is it likely to install some type of engine lock so the car cannot be moved just if it's activated by a number of switch ( am i only been futuristic or do they truly have stuff like this). Does anybody have any ideas.Am i been paranoid here or realistic.Assist....Read more on this topic 2000 Honda Civic?I've a 2000 Honda Civic and have had the rotors changed, new brake pads, new tires and balancing done and the brake pedal pulsates creating the car shake and I'm able to't figure out what is wrong with it? Are there any Honda owners out there with knowledge which could off a number of suggestions?
