how do i fix the illumination in my 2000 honda civic?

I installed a new sony head unit...heard a pop however my fuses are great to go. radio illuminates good however my instrument panel doesn't. I also has to wire left to hook up however do not know where, either doesn't light up anything....Could it be my relay? big time assist please, thank you. Honda civic 2000 EX with honda alarm.....

Honda Civic 2000?

I'm looking to purchase an auto, a local dealer is offering a 2000 Honda Civic. It has 106,000 miles on it, it feels strong and looks great.My question is, how a lot miles can I expect to gain out of this auto? The dealer claims that Civics can go to 200,000 miles. I usually do not drive much, maybe 4000 miles a year, however have a number of trips ahead of me of about 2000 miles. Is this car likely to make it OK? Are there exceptional maintanance difficulties I desire to learn about?Also, the ceiling of the trunk has no pad, the speakers and wires are exposed, is there supposed to become a pad there?Thanks.
