1989 Honda Civic Crx DXGreat Morning. I've a 89 crx with starting issues. I posted this in general post and this is my first post so Im posting in this area also. I sometimes have difficulty cranking up. It turns so it seems similar to a gas issues. It began about 1month ago. It has a little over 120k miles. I replaced the fuel filter and oxygen sensor. I also replaced plugs and wires. I hope it is not the pump ought to be ok with amount of miles on auto. When the car refuses to begin, I'll turn the car to off position then back on two times until check engine light goes off then it cranks up sometimes that doesnt even assist. I've even experienced a fast start then hesitation prior to it cuts off. Once the car cranks up it's fine until it sits up for a while. Can u please assist?Read more on this topic 89 honda civic my baby!!! all i have please help!!?have a 89 honda civic sedan, only currently it began creating a slight knocking sound comin from driver side, thought maybe it could be the car needed to warm up a little longer. however it is still there. this is my just means of transportation, please any advice and all advice shall be considered. thanks in advance.sorry I guess i must explain more kinda anxious for solutions, okay I hear the slight knockin when im driving and and when im in park. my car being a 89 just has 153,000 miles on it. i know it is not a blown head gasket ive had that prior to know what it feels like,! lol...my car isnt vibrating. and it is still driveable only scared to drive it dont desire to create things any worse.does the knocking sound boost amongst engines speed?no it doesnt sounds similar to a constant knockin. and does it sound like anything is loose? I've had the master cyclinder replaced, new brakes, water pump and fan belt, new transmission and new radiator and new oil pump. I dropped it into the HOnda dealers yesterday as the transmission cords were seeping. Cords replaced. Picked it up within 24 hours and drove off, and car only entirely cut out. Pulled over, placed car in park, turned car on again and added slight gas and it began again then drove another bit and it cut out again - battery light and light above that (looks similar to a jug with oil dripping out??). Began it up same way, and managed to drive it back to the garage. Any clues to what it could be???Member since: June 14, 2007 Total points: 96 (Level 1) Points earned this week: --% Greatest answer StarMoonS '89 Honda Civic Aut only cut out in the middle of driving?I bought a honda civic LE with 81k on it 2 months ago. The Garage aren't truly helping immediately. They drove it around and cannot figure out what it's. They're immediately leaving it sitting out in the sun (as that's what happened yesterday) to see if this had a number of effect on it. This freaks me out, as this is Λ‡The Honda dealership' and it seems similar to a mickey mouse way of attempting to figure this out. I only don't desire to be driving on the freeway with my baby in the back and it cut out like that. I originally brought it in as the transmission oil was leaking. I get it back and immediately this is happening, I'm shocked that here's the approach that they're taking. They told me for the reason that the car is so old they don't have equipment to figure this out! The complete point of bringing it to a Honda dealership is even though they're more pricey they know Hondas. Please please please if anybody has advise.Read more on this topic
