1991 Honda Civic?Well, one day my car acted up on me and it lost many power and when i turn it on it sounded truly rough. Well, due to the loss of power, I replaced the fuel filter, and it ran a little better, however then it was not doing as great as prior to so I checked the spark plugs and they had oil on them. I put the plugs back in and I understand that they're secure and immediately the car won;t start at all. It cranks up however it does not begin to where I'm able to drive it. please assist... it was starting fine then i putt he plugs back in and it does not start anymore. I bought new plugs and it still will not start. I checked the spark plugs and place them back in and then I tried to begin it up however then it does not start up....I replaced the fuel filter however not a thing....sometimes it sound like it wants to turn on however then it goes away....I only replaced 2 of the 4 spark plug, so I dont know what the dilemma is.Read more on this topic 91 honda civic dx?Well, allow me to advise you a bit about my auto, when I bought it, it ran perfectly, however a month or so later I checked the muffler and it had a hole about 8 by 8 inches wide and long. The car ran perfectly so I did not think anything of it, and only recently, I was driving it down the interstate, and all of a sudden it seems like it lost many power and it starts off truly slow at a stop. The're black fumes coming from the car where the muffler is, however it never had that problem, even when it had the hole in the muffler until only immediately. I understood it would be the fuel filter due to the loss of power and takeoff. I changed the fuel filter and when I dumped the gas from the aged fuel filter it was a true dirty brow color. When I installed the new fuel filter, the car seemed to be running better, but even now has that slow takeoff problem. What I also forgot to mention was that the car starts to shake most in park and I feel it shaking underneath the auto. Please assist and thank youthe temperature and oil are fine, the car only shakes most and there's many smoke coming from the mufflerI'm pretty sure it is not the catalytic converter, the muffler is the one in the back and that's the thing that has the hole in it, however i can be wrong.Read more on this topic
