Should a 95 Accord V6 be loud?I was given a 1995 Honda Accord LX with a 2.7L V6. The car has about 156,000 miles on it, and routine maintenance was performed at 60,000 miles. The owner said he got the oil changed when necessary, so I don't understand how often he took care of it.The engine of this car is loud. It nearly sounds similar to a diesel when revving. At idle, the car is very quiet. I'd a 4 cylinder 97 Nissan Altima, and this Accord is much louder than that.I am only wondering if it's supposed to be loud, or if there could be a problematic issue involved. Was this car known for this? Thanks.I only uploaded a video to youtube of the noise. It can take a tiny bit for the site to register it as I only did this a second ago. You are able to hear what I am talking about pretty well when I move in closer. It is that rattling/growling noise. Tell me what you think: watching another video, I think that the engine might only sound that way, Here is the other vid. made me feel alot better:http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...abd4c5f3aseems similar to a standard issue on a number of honda engines.Read more on this topic 95 accord difficulty gearing up?I've a 95 honda accord automatic with 201k miles it drives ok on highways however when is shifting gears, the engine feels like is over-working. It does go up to 4D gear, after engine kicks in enough rpms.In slow speed limits like 35, it has a difficult time going to 4D.2 garages have taken a look, could not identify problem however changed all the electrical elements related to the engine, still not fixed. Any idea?Read more on this topic Is there a problem with my daughter's 1995 Honda Accord?I recently bought a '95 Honda Accord for my daughter. It looks and runs good, however at low RPM's it seems to have a bit of a vibration. Is this normal? If not, can it be cured by adjusting idle speed a bit higher, or is there another solution?A lot years ago we had a '92 Accord, that behaved a similar way, however I would've thought that they would have cured it prior to 1995. What's the opinion of those of you who're knowledgable about these cars?By the way, it is a California car with 166 K miles, and has an automatic transmission.+Read more on this topic Are the signal and Hazard switch in a 95 Honda Accord Related/Connected?The Stereo out of my 95 accord recently got stolen. The thief busted the frame where the clock and hazard stwitch were located to rip out the stereo. None of the wiring was cut out, which is a great thing. Anyways since my Hazard switch was disconnected I noticed that the Signals stopped working. I did connect the Hazard switch, however I think it is broken too. So I'm hoping that if I replace the Hazard switch that the Signals will begin to work. So my question is are you aware if they're related/connected. I'll appreciate your responses.Read more on this topic
