How to increase the power on my 96' Honda Civic?I've a 96' Honda Civic EX and i desire a decent boost in power. The engine is all stock...the just aftremarket parts on it's the exhaust programme. I've had ppl tell me to go with a air intake, a number of say tune&intake, a number of say headers...i dont know if i ought to only skip all that and go with a supercharger or something. Im looking to spend under 600$(for intake and headers...i know forced intake sysetms run way over that)........does anybody have any suggestions?Read more on this topic Anyone done a mild to moderate performance upgrade on a '96 Civic?I've a 1996 Honda Civic DX Hatch with a 1.6L 106HP stock engine and stock 5-speed tranny. The current power plant is approaching 200,000 miles. I desire a tiny bit more get-up-'n-go from this puppy with no sacrificing the kids' college tuition. Any ideas from cold intake and cat-back exhaust to port jobs to a Civic HX/EX engine swap from the wrecking yard? Simply keep in mind complicating factors in your suggestions (custom half-shafts, wiring & ECU issues, emissions issues, etc.). We don't reside in California, however we're smog tested. Recently, The stick has become truly difficult to move when the car is began cold, and just after many headache will it loosen up after it's been running. The clutch also feels like it has most less resistance, and feels nearly too lose. What is going on?!!? A number of say it's clutch fluid, I truly have no idea.Read more on this topic
