1996 civic lx car trans slip?I bought a 96 civic lx for a commuter car it has 154k on it. when i bought the car the trans was sliping between 2nd and 3rd and ocassionally grinding in between 2nd and 3rd. took it to a trans shop and had them put in a great used trans with just 45k miles on it and it's slipping a little also not near as bad though.my question: can the shift points and firmness be changed in this auto. my old civic had a upshift cable that could be adjusted however I think this one is all pc controlled?is it normal for a 96 civic lx to shift slow between 2nd and 3rd.also thinking about converting to guide if this trans dies to?Thank you!Read more on this topic 1996 Honda Civic DX Coupe questions?Hi i am about to purchase a Honda civic 96 DX coupe. Is $1300 Worth it for a 96 Civic DX coupe? it is automatic transmission and has 170K miles. It has minor dents that i'm able to get all repaired for $200. Other then that it is in perfect condition. He has an Ek 96 HB D16y7. Alternately i've no different auto. Could you tell me;The Pros; (if any) The Cons; (if any)This was done mainly for sound on his part. I would like to know if it's dangerous for the "health" of the car and what is does to performance?
