1997 Honda Civic over heating?

Ok heres a query for you car individuals...I recently got a 97 Honda Civic as a graduation present. I know further about cars than your average girl, however this is bugging me. When it's hot outside, the car will over heat. The temp. gauge goes to H, however just when the car is stopped at a light or a stop sign or something. When I start moving again, the temp gauge goes down. We replaced the thermostat in it not too long ago, actually similar to a week after I got the car for the reason that it got too hot and it began spitting anti-freeze everywhere. Turns out the thermostat was not even opening! However it has a new thermostat, and the greatest we can tell it has a new radiator as well and plenty of fluids. What could be the dilemma? We thought it could be a fan relay, however were uncertain. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

1997 Honda Civic - AC acting weird?

For several months immediately, when the car is idle the AC will begin going warm, and the car idles hard, if I turn off the AC the car will then idle fine. No difficulties when I'm driving, the ac works fine then. Is this a dilemma amongst AC Compressor??? I do not desire to put many cash into looking at it, as it's an 11 year of age car and I'm looking to eliminate it soon.I agree amongst possibility of Freon, I guess I must bring it in. The idling thing still freaks me out, it's a pretty hard idle, nearly sounds like the car will definitely stall. The option about cleaning the throttle plate seems very weird, why would I need to obtain the +battery terminal and touch it to the neg, then the car shall be hard to begin???
