1986 Honda accord LX heating issue.?, 2 barrel carburettor engine, when are the 2 cooling fans in front of the radiator supposed to kick on? I let the car idle for a while, and even after the temperature gauge goes past half, the fans still do not kick on. I've been told by numerous mechanics that when the A/C is running, at least one of the fans ought to be running. So, my question is, does the car need to be in gear for the fans to engage? And what could cause them to NOT turn on?? And to all of you, Yes, the fuses are brand new. PLEASE ASSIST. P.S. there's not a single aftermarket modifications, the just strange thing, is thta in the glove box, the're 2 switches, on that's similar to a toggle switch, andon that's a red push, however neither of them engage the fans, so, what steps to take?Read more on this topic New Rotors on my 1998 accord?WHen I pressed the brakes going over 40mph, my brakes vibnrated, sounding similar to a playing card on the spokes of a bike. I had my rotors replaced and the sound has diminished, however I only drove it at at 40 MPH, i hear the sound when the car slows to about 20 MPH. it is much fainter, however stillt there. THe break pads were put on about 1000 miles ago *(prior to I replaced the rotors). can the pads cause the sound? ought to they replace the pads? What other thing could cause that "playing card in the spokes" sound when I brake at speeds of 40+ mph?Read more on this topic I need help on my 98 Honda Accord can anyone please help me?My 98 Honda Accord has been having trouble starting. If I drive it for extra that 15min and go to restart it again it takes like the 3rd attempt to begin up. Also when the sun beats on the car for two hrs it also does an identical thing that it takes like the 2nd or 3rd attempt to begin. I get power the starter is fine, and I'm able to hear the fuel pump wind when I turn the car over however it still will not start properly. Sometimes it only starts up fine and sometimes it does not, particularly when it's been driven for extra than 15min or if it's hot. Wierd. If anybody has had similar difficulties please tell me what you did to fix the dilemma and what you replaced? I have been contending with this dilemma for about a week immediately. It's not that bad however I am absolutely certain it is certain to get worst if I do not fix it and following thing you know it will not even start. What is it?I am thinking it is the heat shield, however im not quite sure, since im not a genius at car repairs/work. When it goes at a certain speed (usually between 25-40 MPH) when your barely giving it gas, it rattles (sounds like your shaking a coin inside a tin can). What do you guys think? BTW - This car is very nice. The Japs truly understand the way to design cars! (proof is in the Toyota Camry, the greatest-selling car in America.)Thank you CTK.
