Big Brake kit question, '05 Accord?Hello, I've recently purchased a 2005 Honda Accord EX V-6 coupe with Navigation and 6 speed guide transmission. My ultimate goal is to obtain a Tein SS-P Coilover Damper Kit, a Honda Factory Performance (HFP) body kit, and 18" lightweight wheels. To go along amongst bigger wheels I'm thinking about buying a large brake kit, like from Brembo or a number of other similar company. I've no plans on creating this a race car or anything, only desire it to look pretty great, and have a number of superior than stock handling. So here is my question... If i purchase the 18" rims and receive the large brake kit, would I need to do any modifications in the winter when I would like to put on my 16" black steel rims and snow tires? My car comes stock with 17" rims, and I've researched it and 18"s will fit, and 16"s are recommended by tirerack for winter. I desire the large brake kit, however not if it's too big to accomodate 16" wheels/tires in the winter.Anybody with info or links to info on this subject, please assist!!thanksto hondatuner: Thank you for the info, maybe I was mistaken by saying big brake kit, maybe what I desire is only upgraded brakes.. In the future I aim to doing minimal performance mods, however the stock Accord brakes are just mediocre and have many brake fade, so I think I'll take your advice and go with "better" brakes not "bigger" ones.To Sang K: Yes I've driven on 18" rims prior to, and no I did not have any difficulties with them and never bent them. Maybe you only bought a number of poor quality wheels. Also, my main goal is for better handling, the looking great comment was refering to the lowered stance my car would have after getting the suspension. BTW, if i wished it to look great I'd never put a single decal on it, the quick and furious look is pretty lame. I'm going for a sleek look with slightly superior than stock handling. BTW my STOCK rims are 17", I think if 18's would be soooo horrilbe I'd experience a number of that amongst 17's as well. I used a C-Clamp however that's not working. I also tried loosening the bleeder valve and it still would not go in. I'm able to not get the pads on unless the piston goes in. Is there a key to doing this. Do I must loosen any bolts or anything. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
