Engine mods for 1989 Accord?Hey guys, I've a 1989 Honda Accord LX. Immediately I know many engine mods are based on fuel injected and just work for fuel injected cars (i.e cold air intakes), however I was wondering if anybody knew of a number of engine mods that are possible on a carbeurated car like mine. I only desire something to provide it more HP and TORQUE if possible until i'm able to buy my new engine for it. Oh and by the way, does anybody know of a great dealer for new engines, cause lets face it, my car just pushes out about 95HP, and i desire something which could push out a considerable amount more than that w/o breaking a dent in my pocket if you understand what i mean.Read more on this topic can i swap a F22A engine from a 1991 accord LX into my 1999 honda civic DX?is this swap possible? i was told it was however what is involved, would i need to swap harness? motor mounts? ecu obviously, what about axels, the accord is auto, i desire a 5 speed tranny will the 5 speed tranny from my stock b16 Dx engine bolt to the F22A engine? if anybody has any advice for me i'd greatly appreciate it.Read more on this topic 2003-2005 Honda Accord 4 cylinder VS 2003-2005 Honda Accord V6. which engine last longerand more efficient? I am debating whether or not to obtain a used Honda Accord 4 cylinder or a Honda Accord V6. Being that the 4 cylinder is a DOHC 16 valve and the v6 is a SOHC 24 valve which motor will last longer? I reside in southern california where road conditions are always nice. hardly any mountains however a number of hills on my route.
