Ok. Car Alarm Trouble...?

On my 2002 Honda Accord. If I were to leave the windows down and the doors unlocked and I reached in and unlocked the door from the inside or outside it would set off a alarm. I've yet to locate the way to end the alarm. I feel similar to a fool driving in an car with a alarm going off. Individuals star at me like I stole it or something. However anyway, I've tried starting the engine, locking it with my hand and with the keys to reunlock it, driving away. I can't fiqure this one out. Any suggestions.

I'm not sure if the security alarm on my 2002 Honda accord is functioning?

When I use the keyless entry lock, all the door locks go down however the lights do not flash at all, theres no "beep", and the security light near the drivers door next to the lock dose not blink, light up or anything to indicate it's working. To trial if it was alarmed, I left the drivers window down, locked the car amongst remote (like prior to) and then unlocked the door by pulling up the lock and then opened the door. No alarm sounded. When I've the car locked amongst keyless entry and use it again to un-lock the auto, the locks go up, the cabin lights come on and all exterior lights flash twice. Which seems like normal disarming. ASSIST PLEASE! I have just had the car under a week and it's my first Honda.
