What's wrong with my car?it is a brand new honda civic...it backfires and it's so embarassing! i was leaving my buddies house and he told me to never purchase a honda...and as i was pulling away it sounded similar to a gunshot...also, when it gets into overdrive and then i slow down, the car is like working against the brakes...i need to push truly hard on the brakes to make it stop and then it dies...then it starts again fine...whats going on????Read more on this topic My car is making a "popping" sound and is rattling, what is causing this?It's creating the popping sound inside a pipe at the back of the car only in front of the muffler. It usually happens when I tap the gas pedal in park, and even sometimes when it is idling it pops a tiny bit as well. The car idles pretty high (about 1,100 RPM when it is first began). Also when im going down the road it rattles as well. It is not a heat shield or the exhaust manifold I checked both. Anybody with decent car experience provide me an idea of what may be wrong? Only to ensure, he wished to go again and he got beat even worse! his buick just makes about 250hp for the reason that it is stilL pretty much stock. What i dont get is why these import guys think they drive a race car for the reason that they slap a bunch of plastic on their economy cars? I've observed a couple fast 4 bangers however they're about 1 in 100 of these cars that's actually fast.Read more on this topic
