Honda Civic brake noise?I've a 2001 Honda Civic EX, and for a while immediately, there is been a weird sort of sloshing/grinding noise coming from the rear whenever I hit the brakes. I have not noticed any change in the performance of the brakes, however. When I last took it in to the dealer, they told me that the noise was 'most likely not a thing' and 'many Civics have noisy brakes', and consequencely,, refused to check and make certain. Is this true? If so, what makes the noise? If not, what is wrong with my auto? More specifically the button on the shifter will not depress. Today it randomly turned on again and will not turn off. I am positive the handle is all the way down and it does not make noise, does not have trouble accelerating, is not guzzling gas. Does this mean there's something else I must have checked?1995 Honda CivicFor any future answerers:I've pressed down on it... pulled it up and disengaged it repeatedly (like I said I have been driving it and parking it). There may be build up as Chatter said. Theres not a thing stuck under the handle, I looked.As for break fluid and pads, that ought to make the ABS light come on yes?
