`89 Civic LX coolant leak after small rock flew up under engine?

Friend has an car which was well running until it lost coolant from a rock he says hit water pump. Is that possible? I dont know where the water pump is on a 1989 Honda Civic LX or could it be a hose? Or something worse? He said it appears to be leaking near the lower pulley. Is the water pump down there? or a coolant hose/line.

2001 Civic Pushing out Coolant

I've a 2001 Civic EX that has an ongoing problem. Last winter I had the water pump and timing belt changed.
The dilemma began once the daytime temperature rose. When I was stuck in traffic the temp would rise to the point of overheating and the car began pushing coolant out of the reserve tank when I got home at night. I also began needing to wait for the car to entirely warm up for the heat to blow hot air.
I then bled the air out of the cooling programme and was fine for a couple months. Unfortunately the dilemma has returned, however I can't seem to eliminate it. I've bled the air out of the programme several times and it is going to work for about a week and then push out coolant again. The car will begin to overheat as I'm driving at slow speeds in traffic and cool if the car sits.

Is this no different problem? Also I think that I smell coolant in the air when the AC or heat is on. I've even taken the car to the dealer with no success.

What is wrong wtih my radiator if it is spilling coolant?

Only the other day I took my Honda Accord to a local shop and got my radiator flushed. The following day my radiator was spilling and gushing coolant. I took it back the the shop and they said it was most likely the cap. The guy at the Advance car changed the cap and the radiator is still gushing. The guy at the shop-where I took my auto- said it can be cracked. However for the cut-rate price of 300 a number of dollars he could fix it. However when they flushed the radiator the day prior to should not they have caught this??? I think it's IRONIC that immediately I've a possible crack in my radiator after they only flushed it the day prior to? What ought to I do?
