Honda Accord Dies?I've a 1998 Honda Accord that dies with no warning. 70 mph on he highway and it can quit. 35 in town and it may die. The dilemma is intermittent. It starts back up and will likely, not have another problem. Also, I've no trouble starting it, however other individuals that drive the car complain that it takes several tries prior to they can get the car began. The key turns and it starts, however as quickly as you let the key go to the "RUN" position, it dies... immediately. Do you believe these 2 issues are related? Does anybody have any history with this car / problem?I replaced the upstream O2 sensor when the light came on a fortnight ago.ThanksRead more on this topic Honda CR-V dies when cold?My 1999 Honda CR-V EX (57,000 miles, Automatic) dies when cold. When first fired up, it idles high as expected, however when I drive it and stop it in under regarding the first mile or 2 (never more), it dies unless I put my foot on the gas to maintain the RPMs up. It does this just when the outside temperature is about 45 degrees or lower. The Check Engine light comes on and the error is simply a cylinder misfire (usually 4 errors, for all 4 cylinders). The spark plugs aren't the dilemma, they have been replaced with no change. After those first miles, it never happens again until the car sits overnight. It has done this for about 3 years, whenever I drive it at 45 degrees or below. I do not desire to take it to Honda and have them tell me I need a number of $300 part or something. It seems to me that the hi idle choke (or whatever passes for that) is only releasing too soon.Any ideas what steps to take? Is there an easy adjustment to create? It's cold where we're this winter and this is annoying!Read more on this topic My Honda Accord dies right after I start it?I've a 2000 Honda Accord V6 coupe with about 79K. Several months ago, this weird problem began to happen. Each once in a while, right after I start the auto, it only dies on me. I would need to start it again (and sometimes, time after time) to gain it running. However, after it starts and stays running, there's not a single difficulties. This dilemma happened 2 or 3 more times intermittently. I did not see a pattern to when it would occur. I took it to a local shop and they said they could not duplicate the dilemma and said they could not figure out what was wrong with it either. The mechanic told me it could be my throttle, or throttle cable. I honestly forgot what he told me.Well, about 5 months have passed with no an incident. However this same problem happened to be twice today. After the second time, the engine light has come on and stayed on. Thank you for any assist you are able to provide.Read more on this topic truck dies out when you put it in reverse or drive?I've a 1967 ford pick up f100 and everytime i place it in reverse to back up or place it in drive it dies out what could be wrong and please dont say cause it is a ford i alredy know that.I've a 1967 ford f100 pickup everytime i place it in reverse or drive it dies out on me i already turned the idle up and it still does it even when i put on the break all the way immediately sometimes it is certain to go if i start it and hurry up and place it in gear and punch on the gas then sometimes it wont do that tell me what you think thank you.Read more on this topic honda accord 1990 drivable for 5 miles then dies.?I've a 1990 honda accord with 320,007 miles I have a dilemma.while i am driving down the road about 5 to 10 miles the car dies. first the lights go dim, odometer and the speedometer goes "wacko" and then only stay's a zero and then the car dies out. and then when i attempt to begin it it will not start, however the following day it starts right up like nothting happened.
