Did i mess my engine up?Ok well i've a 90 honda civic lx 1.6 engine, It's fuel injected. i messed with my idle screw today. i took it out cleaned it then place it back on and immediately my car sounds similar to a lawn mower. it's truly spudding bad. I tried to fix the idle for the reason that it would not hold it when it got warm. So did i not tighten the idle screw all the way or did i truly mess my car up?Read more on this topic High engine load?Got a diagnostic check on my 04 civic sedan and they said my engine is idling around 25-28% and it ought to be around 10%. My original problem was that i was gettin poor gas mileage(320m prior to my light comes on) and thats all they found wrong. What could be causing my car to idle at a higher load than normal?so is this a drivebelt problem?ought to i tighten or loosen it?i already checked the belts and if anything they seemed alittle too tightno. all they said was my load was high.they couldnt troublshoot due to lack of manpower(live on a Marine base, so the service is truly cheap)any way to figure it out?Read more on this topic How bad is it to drive with a bad Engine Mount?How bad is it to drive my 98 honda civic CX with an awful engine mount?
