what engines will fit?

i've a 2000 honda civic which currently has a blown si engine in it i would prefer to know what other engines would fit in it becausei have heard of peole putting acura engines in civicc so i need an engine asap and if by chancce you know anybody that would have one i truly dont desire to pay more than 700.00 for one however that all depends on millage and other factors....thank you in advance for any assist you are able to provide!!!

Can you put a 2000 or 2001 Honda Prelude engine in a 1999 model?

2 of my cylinders are screwed and I am hoping to only do an engine swap. I am searching for places to locate an engine as I have tried the majority of the places I'm able to think of. I did locate a potential engine, however it's from a 2000....I only desire to be certain that the pc and other components will jive with my 1999 modelI am looking in Vancouver Canada for an engine

so what exactly do i have to change to put a 1.5 engine in my 1999 civic DX?

i should get an engine back in my auto, i've allready completed one honda engine swap, however immediately i blew my engine. what do i need to change to place a 1.5 from a 1992 -1995 in my 1999 civic coupe. and please dont only tell me i ought to go purchase a VTEC for the reason that i cant afford it. thus the 1.5 idea, i've a ECU and so on, what other thing will i need will it only bolt in or do the plugs match up, what regarding the manifold, is it in an identical place or would i need to move my exaust? are the engine mounts compatible i'd purchase a whole donor auto.. oh yea since i reside in vermont there's not a single emissions so this isn't an issue.

How can I pick a better engine for my 2000 civic ex?

I own a 2000 civic ex, and I may swap a K20A engine instead of my stock D16Y8.However here comes the dilemma, my buddy own a 97 prelude and it has a H22A engine.Does it mean even I swap the K20A in, his car still quicker than mine.If so, the honda Accord, CRX......all those engine or car must quicker than mine no matter what ?coz I check one the spec of Accord and CRX engine, their max horsepower and torque are all higher than even a Type R engine the K20A.I only hate all of my buddies told me their car must quicker than mine coz the size of their engine is bigger than mine, like 2.2L, 2.4L or even 3.0L from a old old Accord.
