Apparently the oil light was not working, and while driving the auto, I suddenly heard a knocking sound emitting from the engine. I checked the oil and there was not a thing! I put 2 quarts of oil which made the knock go away for a minute or 2, however when I at last began driving the auto, the knock became worse and worse, especially when I accelerate. I dont know what it's. please any suggestions.Read more on this topic 03 Civic engine sounds funky?My engine in my 03 Civic (1.7L) Is sounding similar to a sowing machine more so than normal. It sounds like it's coming from the valves. I know they sound like sowing machines any way however the noise happen'd instantly. I tried the fuel injector cleaning crap however it did not assist it any. Anybody?I use Premium unleaded change the oil each 2800 miles. It also has a cold air intake. it happend when I hit a puddle going out of my buddies driveway. i was going 5mph when i hit it so i could make it through, however it was still enough to gain muddy water on th bottom side of the drivers side hood.Read more on this topic
