I just bought a 2007 HONDA FIT. How long should i let the engine warm up in the morningprior to i drive it? how will i know it's prepared to drive? it has no temperature gage. instead a light comes on when it's either too hot or too cold. normally both lights are off. i have actually never seen the overheat one, however when i turn the car on first thing in the early part of the day the blue "Cold" light is on.Read more on this topic why is the "check engine" showing in my car?I had an 2001 Honda Civic LX, and i took the filter out to replace an short ram intake. When i took the filter out there's like an plug that plug to the filter so i unplug it and i install the short ram intake and i jux leave the plug unplug for the reason that the short ram intake doesnt have anthing to plug into it and i start the car and it work fine however the "check engine" picture is showing up so i dont know if it is an awful thing or did i do whatever thing wrong, so can anybody assist?Read more on this topic On the highway, all of a sudden I lost power, air/fuel ratio gauge went out, & engine lite wenton.What gives? I only bought this used 1995 Honda Civic EX from a private party. He had several bells & whistles on it that his uncle put on when he owned it since he worked for a Honda dealership. He put in an AEM cold air intake, a catback exhaust, and a number of little stuff like the air/fuel ratio gauge and an oil pressure gauge mounted above the dash. The air/fuel lights usually stayed right inbetween lean and rich, right in the middle. Immediately, there's not a single lights and after I turn on the ignition, after about 5 minutes of driving, the engine light turns on. I do not have an OBD I scanner to diagnose the dilemma although most certainly I wish I did. AutoZone just has the OBD II's so they cannot assist which is a shame cuz they scan the pc for free.Since that day on the highway, I have not lost power. The guy at AutoZone said it's most likely my transmission however the trans was only rebuilt at 123,500 miles and there is 132K on it immediately. Could this have anything to carry out amongst cold air intake? Please assist.Read more on this topic 2000 Honda Ody tranny engine issue?I'm getting repeating DTCs, P0172 mainly, about right bank too rich.I seems to happen right after I get a strange high gear shift.Cannot tell precisely what is happening, however it feels like it's shifting from OD to 4th and back in under 1 sec. Then the chk light and traction control light come on. The DTCs do not seem to relate to anything. However then that studder could be the engine.Does this sound similar to a tranny issue? Mine is nearing 107,000 mi which is suppose to become the cutoff for Honda fixing a tranny issue.Read more on this topic is it exhaust manifold or engine?i've 96 civic, my difficulty is everytime I start my car in the early part of the day and tap the gas there's a noise coming from the front hood. When I drive the car and step on the gas i'll make noise (it is like metal rattling) however after about 5 minutes of driving the noise is gone and the engine is running smooth.I am uncertain what's the problem however i am guessing maybe it is the exhaust manifold, engine, or timing belt.what are the symptoms of bad exhaust manifold?thanksRead more on this topic
