What do YOU think about this possible engine swap?I currently own a 1998 Honda Civic LX, 4 door, automatic transmission. I'm wanting to either drop a B18 or B20 engine into my car and KEEP my automatic transmission. My fiance shall be doing the engine swap, however he only has not done one like this ever prior to (he is a mechanic) nor has he ever seen one done like this. I call it a "Frankenstein Swap" lol. Anyway, I KNOW this engine swap is likely, although it'll be difficult. Even the possibility of my fiance has to custom build a number of engine mounts. I'd love input/opinions from anybody, however only know it'll be done!Oh, and only in case you're wondering, I would like to keep my Automatic transmission for the reason that I like it superior than guide and you do not see an automatic transmission Honda that's customized that often, so it'll be an original.Oh that's only the start of my auto's mods....Read more on this topic K20Z3 Engine Swap or New Car?It'd set me back anywhere between 5 and 8 grand to place a K20Z3 under my 04 Civic Sedan LX's hood. That is not even including turbo, turbo would run me another 5 grand... so anywhere between 10-13 grand. Or ought to I go with a different auto? KBB value of my current car is ~10 grand. I understand that he em1 are 99-00 civics however if there's another thing I'd need. If I do not do an engine swap then what can I add to the stock engine other then the intake, headers, and exhaust. I do not desire a turbo kit. I would like to boost it about 50-80 HP I've a intake and it is about 130 hp or so and desire it to be about 180-200 HP.
