Any Honda del Sol owners around here?Thought that this would be an enjoyable question since Sol's are a dying breed these days, w/the last ones marketed to the US in '97. My husband & I currently own 2 Sol's, though none are running, LMAO. However, one soon shall be, after he finishes piecing back together his b16. The first is a '95 Si, DOHC VTEC in Malano pink (for those of you who've the dreaded oxidization, you understand what I am talking about LOL) & the other a '94 SOCH VTEC, blue. He used to have a '97 Sol si, however it got totalled in '03 on his way back from the annual Vegas Invasion that Team Sol International has each yr.So, how about it? I understand that none of these things provide much(if any) power to these cars. absolutely i know the're fast japanese cars out their however a majority of them are economy cars with under 200hp. I drive a complete size truck 'raced' one of these cars a within 24 hours and it was like he was going in reverse! Why do individuals do it?To Maxwell: I know you're very proud of your 'kustom kool' imports, however if i had put HALF the cash into say a 2002 Trans Am WS6 it would run circles around every single one of your cars. I never said they were all slow, i do recall mentioning the're a number of quick and respectable imports out there. However is it worth 13k to the majority of individuals only to say your quicker than say a mustang(for your info i hate mustangs). And 95% of those cars out there dont have these mods. Only cosmetic bolt ons. You are able to tell these guys dont know sh*t about performance if they're putting a spoiler on a front drive auto. 11 second times are very respectable. However the 1987 buick turbo regal i had ran consistent high 11's low 12's with about 2k in bolt ons. And guess what? it was a fuel injected V6! With 119k on the stock block to add to that. What i'm saying is tuner cars that truly have go are very respectable. however a 127 hp honda with a fart pipe? I will take the T/A..Read more on this topic
