honda used certified?

i bought my 2000 honda used certified car in 2002 just to learn a year later that the paint was chipping off. apparently, the vehicle had been in a collision and received a super crappy paint job that the inspectors at honda did not catch. the dealership paid for the repair. fastforward to today: i notice that the other side of the car (front passenger door) is rusting. i take it to a body shop (no different one i went to for the original repair: a wonderful place) and they take the door off and learn that the door was clearly in a collision and was basically glued back together instead of actually replaced. for the reason that the work was so crappy, this has led to leaks in the door (immediately rusted) and even the door joint was involved in the original collision for the reason that it too was sort of haphazardly repaired. how can i get the dealer to shell out for this? am i right that a door like this ought to never have passed the inspection and become certified? how can i prove this?

can I actually trade this car in for a new Honda?

I've this 23000 mile ford focus that was given to me for my senior year of high school. It's always breaking and the dealership wants me to trade it in for a new focus- however I truly desire a honda accord. The ford dealership salesman tells me that I'm able to just trade a focus for a brand new focus and not another thing similar to a honda for the reason that Honda does not do that, honda dealerships just takes hondas as trade ins. My brother says that they're idiots! Who is right? What can I do? Am I trapped forever buying fords? After this experience I wont ever drive another ford again. So, am I truely trapped??? Thank you for studying my question.the manager at the ford dealership tells me that what the salesman tells me is completely correct. However why???
