how to get my 1994 honda accord to work again?i had an accident with my car and busted my oil pan. I've been told that the engine isn't damaged since is cranking however not only firing up and it is not creating a knocking sound. The dilemma is that it is not starting. i was told that when the plugs were taken out they were soaked with gas so we dried them out and let the engine dry out for over eight hrs prior to trying again but even now not a thing. it only cranks however doesn't fire up and begin. all the other mechanical and electrical part seems to be working fine. i was told that hondas have something similar to a swich that triggers off if the the car oil is low or out. is this true? and if it's how can i get to switch it back on? or what other thing could have happened when the oil went out. by the way i wasnt drivin when the oil drained out of the hole in the oil pan however the car was running idle at park then it went out. please assist this is my run around car and i adore itRead more on this topic 1994 honda accord no heat fan goodHey I am hoping somebody has the precise problem I'm having for the reason that I have seen several suggestions and tried several but even now no change. Hear goes sorry regarding the length ...My fan does work, and both hoses going in/out of the heater core are sorta hot, and feel to be about no different temp. The heat valve is not binding, if you turn the temp knob it moves from open to shut. The temp knob was binding when I first got the car however then began to turn after turning it back and forth over a number of time. I partially disassembled the dash and watched the temp mechanism on the box and it moves and sounds like the door is moving, the mode door is moving as well for the reason that you are able to hear it when you switch modes. The car has never overheated, the temp gauge is constantly across the center. I've tried to let the car idle for 10 min or so to see if I get anything but even now no heat. I did notice on several occasions that if the programme was in recirculate while driving and the temp gauge shows the engine warm it is certain to provide an incredibly very tiny amount of tepid air for a just minutes then goes cold. So after that explanation (sorry!) my question is could my cooling sys be clogged, or is it the thermostat? I know the ac isnt stuck on for the reason that in defrost/ac mode you are able to feel/hear the compressor cycle. Am I overlooking something, or is my blend door broken inside the HVAC box. Thanks anybody for your assist, it's no fun driving in st louis winter with no heat!! -Jonathan
