'02 Honda Accord w/66,000 miles - I hear a humming noise that gets louder w/increased speed.?I only bought this car a handful of days ago. I'm immediately hearing this humming/whirring noise. You are able to't truly hear anything till you get over 40 mph. It seems to be louder in the rear of the auto. The sound reminds me of when I rode in a pick-up truck that had those large mud tires. The tires are brand new, however an unknown brand. Could it only be these cheap tires, or maybe the bearings? Somebody told me it could be something wrong amongst suspension or the struts. (It's Honda Certified, plus I bought a 1 year warranty)To all of you who suggest I take it back to the dealership, (which, most certainly I'll) I'm only making an effort to get a number of honest info so I've an idea of what may be going wrong prior to I get there. I am a female and I've been ripped off and lied to by car repairmen and salesmen more times than I'm able to count. When I park and grab the tire and shake it, it moves back and forth and makes a clunking noise even though the tire is screwed on tightly. I'm able to shake it back and forth. Whenever I go over a bump or anything it makes a clunking noise. I am truly concerned and am on a fixed budget. Can anybody tell me what may be wrong, and the way much it may cost. Somebody mentioned I may need a new hub and alignment, however am a total novice when it amounts to this type of stuff. Sometimes I'm able to hear and feel this thump under the car when I'm accelerating gently. For example today I was driving about 50mph in 5th gear going up a little hill, I'd provide it light throttle and I heard it again very loud this time thumpthumpthump, After I sped up to about 60mph it stopped...
