My 2003 Honda civic lx is making a weird noise?1.The noise is very loud in the mornings or when the car has sat for extra than 7 hours2.it is sounds like it's coming from the passenger side3.it is sounds similar to a bad turbo or a electric vacum whistle4. i havent lost any power or atleast it feels like i havent5. can it be a exhaust leek from bad welding6. what can it be7 the noise gets louder the higher the rpms getI DON'T HAVE A TURBO it is sounds similar to a bad turboRead more on this topic 2005 Honda Civic Making Strange Noise...?2 days ago, I noticed a noise that seemed to come from the motor. It sounded similar to a "distant motorcycle hum" (greatest description I'm able to think of); however, you would not hear it except if you were paying attention. It began when I got my car to 40+ m.p.h. and stopped when I slowed down. Over the past 2 days, it has become slightly worse; only enough to where it's annoying immediately and happens nearly at all times when I drive, regardless of speed. However, if I rev up the engine in Park, the noise does not happen. I took it to my uncle, who is a mechanic, and he says it is the majority of likely a wheel bearing. He drove it and heard the noise, however he said it was not "far gone" enough to solve what side it was coming from. I had an 85-mile trip to create today, and when I returned, I could tell that it was definately coming from the driver's side. What do I should do in the meantime? I've a short trip (~20 miles) to create tomorrow; is that going to be safe? They are getting replaced ASAP.Read more on this topic 2006 Honda Civic noise?I bought my '06 Civic brand new a year ago. I noticed a number of noise from the dashboard similar to a rattle sound. Took it to the dealer multiple times and everytime "not a thing." Lastly, the diagnosis came back that it was only the timing chain creating the sound. Someone else have a similar experience with this auto? Do you resolve anything?Read more on this topic
