1998 Honda Civic clunking noise front right end?

I've a 1998 Honda Civic that sat undriven (except for spins across the block) for several years. A year ago when it began being driven regularly again, it began creating a clunking noise when I went over small bumps or dips. The noise is clearly coming from the front right end of the auto. I took it to a shop and they told me they "greased it up" and the noise went away. Immediately the noise is back. The Honda dealership said they could not hear anything, although I'm positive it's there since I turn left and go over a dip several times one day to gain to my house and always hear it. Is there a safety concern that I must be aware of or ought to I only take it back to the neighborhood garage and have it greased up again? Thanks very much for all the fast and thorough responses. Only two details--it is a 1998 however just has 32,000 miles on it seeing as it was sitting for a lengthy time. Obviously I'll have the CV boot checked out, however this dilemma has been going on for extra than a year. It went away and immediately came back. It does not get any worse. Thanks again and if you've any further details (similar to a rough estimate of how much it may cost to repair), please tell me.

My honda civic Si Hatch makes a noise when it turns over?

I recently had the starter replaced. The previous starter had burned and I had plenty of wiring troubles with the auto. The car used to become a push start, however I asked my mechanic to make it a conventional turn key again, and he did. Never the less, immediately when I turn the key there's this pretty ugly 'screetching' sound that seems to come from the starter. The car turns over and it's fine after that, however the noise worries me specially when the starter is suppossed to become a new replacement. I would like to discover what's the dilemma and receive my mechanic to fix it. Somebody had mentioned that it could be some type of sensor, I do not know. I've managed to begin the car with no the noise when I turn the key first and slightly push the clutch, and rapidly release it after that. Thanks very much for your answers.
