Problem with Honda Pilot 2005?

My SRS (airbag) light is on- and the back windshield wiper stopped working. I changed the fuse and as quickly as I turned on the rear wiper- the fuse popped again. So I brought a bigger fuse (it was initially 7.5 and I've a 10 on there immediately.) When I took it to Honda- they said that the wiper engine had a brief and would set me back $350 to fix. However they're not aware that if I use a larger fuse- the wipers still work. They told be that the engine is shot I Don’t believe them for the reason that if I use a larger fuse then recommended- the wipers do work. The dilemma is that the SRS light doesn't turn off. (Honda said provided that the fuse doesn’t blow- the airbags ought to be fine.)So can I install a larger fuse-(perhaps a 12 or 15) and will this still fire off the airbags incase of an accident?

How can I get more miles per gallon from my Honda Pilot?

Hey guys, I drive a 2003 Honda Pilot 4WD EX-L (used to drive RAV4, however dad made me switch!) This thing basically weighs as much as a dead whale and handles like one, however my biggest complaint with this 5000lb behemoth is it is poor gas mileage. My dad expects me to shell out for gas, and I truly do not wanna start shelling $50+ everytime I gas up (I truly put on the miles, driving to school and back, work, etc. Gas prices are above $3.15 in Connecticut). I drive conservatively (do not desire a ticket), yet the gas mileage leaves much to be desired. Is there another thing I'm able to do for extra miles from my Pilot? In case you are wondering, no, I'm able to't trade it in for something for fuel-efficient.
