93 Honda Prelude Rod Problem?I've a h23 non vtec engine with an awful rod What are the steps to replace the rod?Okay, for the original answer I pulled out the enging and place in a rebuilt h22 vtec engine, immediately I've this additional engine here and was thinking about repairing the rod and buying a prelude shell and putting it in there....So how much am i looking at to have it machined and a new/reconditioned rod put in if i bring them it already taken apart and prepared?Read more on this topic 1994 Honda Prelude SI Pistons issue?Okay, to begin off...I am no car specialist so assist me please. car has been creating a weird noise for the past week. The car is an automatic and Whenever I drive and hit higher RPM's prior to the car changes into following gear....it makes this weird rumbling noise...i assume it was the belts or something....however I procrastinated and did not look into it...so today after driving at 40+ mph the rumbling noise truly kicked in and was truly loud...then I hear this knocking noise...I assume the pistons are damaged? I have no clue...however the car still starts and drives...only that it has truly no power and the knocking noise is there....assist me out here....is this going to cost plenty of $$$!? Any advice shall be appreciated. So....in the finish...never procrastinate! You know your car greatest and when it's creating a noise that's not normal...get it checked out!
