1996 Honda Engline light- it's back!?I had the engine light on for a while, however all ran fine, ignored it. Then I went for my emissions test (WA), failed it. Error code was P0141: O2 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 2. So took my car to a nearby garage and got the sensor replaced. Took it back same day to the testing station and passed, despite the 02 sensor not being ready yet (needs like 5 hot/cold cycles to reset or something). Immediately, 2 days later, the light is back on! I suspect the mechanic of tricky business. Can you reset the code and fool the pc at the test station? Can you switch one sensor with another or something? Or, is this a case where a number of other part of the engine can be messed up, causing faulty error codes down the line? Can I visually inspect to see that the guy actually did install a new part? I am too noob at the moment to know if I ought to be pissed off, or concerned, or what.Read more on this topic 2003 Honda Odyssey - Maint Req. Light?My 2003 Odyssey has about 43000 miles on it and only two weeks ago the maintenance requires light would flash about 3 or 4 times right after starting the auto. I did not think much of it for the reason that all the dummy lights come on when you begin a vehicle, I only believed it was part of it's routine. However immediately it's always on. Few weeks back engine management light came up, I showed it to a local mechanic and he said it’s for the reason that of your EGR valve. Prior to that my car needs water for reradiate immediately and then. I took my car for 200 miles (emergency family visit) on the motorway it began stalling I got it checked and dealer told me it is your head gas kit. So he changed Head Gas Kit and cam belt as well. I drove the car back and engine management light came up again. I checked the code manually it’s 12 which is for EGR valve. I get the EGR valve replaced with an other Honda however light came up again even after clearing it. So problem isn't with EGR valve however something else. car drives superb. A number of one told me it could be “solenoid”. I’m uncertain. I'd appreciate if you may well please assist me with detailed answer on rmunir@hotmail.co.uk .
