I think the single thing I need maintenance on is the brakes however I wouldnt think it would turn on for that. I read that the majority of the time it only stays on and it needs to be reset? I tried holding the odometer reset down while turning the key until the lights came on (w/o starting the auto) however that did not work.I discovered the answer. Nobody answered me right! You turn the ignition to the (II) so the lights come on. Hit the Sel/Reset until the oil life comes up. Hold for 10 sec until it flashes, let up and then hold it for 5 more seconds and it resets!Read more on this topic What does it mean when your 2000 Honda Civic Maintenance Required Light comes on?About five months ago, my Maintenance required light came on in my 2000 Honda Civic. I turned it off, thinking it was not anything serious seeing as it was not my "Check Engine Light." Yesterday the Maintenance Light came back on (five months later). I'm only wondering what this light means and what precisely I ought to do. I drive my car most on the weekends and depend greatly upon it. The car is in good condition, I've had several difficulties with my air conditioner, however thats about it. Could I be in need of a tune up and if so, can I go another week with no one? Any advice would assist.Read more on this topic
