2004 Honda accord, already an oil leak!?I was told today by the shop that did an oil change on my 2004 Honda Accord V6 MT that the rear main seal has developed a "minor" leak. I trust them on this for the reason that they cannot do that type of repair and thus cannot have any ulterior motive for telling me this. This is unacceptable, my car just has 60,000 miles on it! Do you believe Honda might cover it outside of warranty given that it is so new and early in it is life, or do I only need to manage it a pay out of pocket? if so, ought to I bother fixing it asap or wait? Thank you.Read more on this topic '92 Accord oil leak - link to picI have got this oil leak as shown in pic. It just leaks when the car is running. My question is, does the part between oil filter and where the leak is come off to where I'm able to use a number of RTV sealant to seal the leak? Thank you for assist!
Read more on this topic I have a 98 accord 40cyl. 98k miles. For some reason, it is using oil. Not leaking. What's the problem? I keep the maintenance up and change the oil regularly. It was literally empty of oil after I put 5 quarts in there 5 weeks earlier. It did not show on the stick at all. It isn't leaking oil as I've checked it multiple times with cardboard under the auto. The dealership told me I needed to have my timing belt maintenance done and they would change all the internal seals and that would fix the dilemma. Any other ideas?Read more on this topic
