honda prelude overheating 2001 2.2 dohc vtec?any ideas??? my car will just overheat after driving about 20 miles on freeway and come to a stop. once moving the car will come back down to mid temp. i needed to turn on the heat today in an accident so it would not overheat. i took to the dealer and they said they could not verify. i checked the coolant and made sure there was not an air pocket. coolant looks great, both fans are coming on. the car has 65k on it. when i come to a stop and it's on mid if i provide it gas and rev just 500-1000 rpm's the gauge will rise. has me stumped. any thoughts????Read more on this topic 1995 Honda Accord LX overheating?I've a 95 honda accord lx and it drives fine if you're going close, however, if you are driving for like 20 minutes or more and the engine gets warm it overheats, could somebody tell me what could be my problem, i'd a buddy of mine look at it who is great with cars and he said the thermostat is great in it and he could not figure out how come it is overheating.
