Should I keep pushing for repainting?I've a 2006 Civic Coupe in Alabaster Silver. I noticed the paint had began to peel on the front bumper, so I took it back to the dealership for a warranty repaint. It came back SO bad I had them do it again. It's better, however it's not as luminous as the original paint and I am baffled as to why they cannot get matching paint when we are still in under the model year. They keep saying you are able to't match the plastic bumper and metal precisely, however I only point to the rear bumper and ask "truly?" It's perfect. I am organized to make them do it repeatedly until I am satisfied, however I am wondering if it's futile. Had I know it would be like this, I never would have had them paint it the 1st time.Read more on this topic Repainting my Civic EX!!?Hey guys..I've a 2000 Civic eX in Black. I am hoping for extra since I repainted and it's still not great.I took it for third repait after it began peeling and was under warranty. Since then, it has been repainted immediately a total of 4 times and it doesn't match. The factory color is Alabaster Silver, and it boggles my mind that Honda would produce a color that cannot be reproduced after market, not to mention that it's not precisely after market--we are still in the model year! What ought to I do?I ought to add that when I took the car in for the third attempt, I called them when it should've been ready and they said they were happy themselves and were painting it a fourth time. When I went to pick it up it was dim light and I could not judge the match, however the following day it was as bad as the remainder of the efforts. It's not very much the color however how it reflects light. It's dull looking in light and I feel it's diminished in value. They suggested feathering it into the remainder of the paint, however to me that means they desire to dull the remainder of the car to match the bumper. No way? ASSIST!FYI, for people who say leave it black, we're talking about an '06 Civic Coupe here. Do not tell me that will not have a LARGE impact on it is value.Read more on this topic
