AC/Heater question

Hey, auto-idiot here. Any assist you are able to provide would be good.

Ive got an older civic (99 4d ex) and whenever the AC or Heater or on, theres a whistling coming from somewhere across the dash air vents. This happened each once in a while, however it seems to be getting worse /more frequent. It is not high pitched, sort of a wobbling whistle that comes and goes. And it doesnt start immediately, usually I will be driving for about 10-15 minutes and it is certain to start.

Any ideas? I dont desire to start disassembling the complete dash area if thats not the issue.

okay i already asked this question but im asking again......?

for the reason that i would like to know the distinction from a 2007 honda accord and a 2007 honda civic and not only any im asking regarding the (EX)http://s187.photobucket.com/albums/x...acivic.pngokay thats the 2007 HONDA CIVIC EXbut i cant locate any of the accord and when i went to the honda dealership i looked at the back of the car and it said accord not civic im confused please help

Performance chip question?

What am I facing if I choose to install one of those 30 dollar performance chips on ebay. They're the kind that you only bolt on top of your existing chip. Am I risking serious engine harm? Do they actually work? I heard that they don't actually void warrenties and they're safe, is this true as well? I've a 2006 accord v6 coupe with guide transmission
