My 1989 Honda Prelude 2.0si will sometimes downshift from 4th to 3rd while driving 60-70 mph/?

This also has occured while driving-cruising when I "do something electrical" for example turning off or on; radio, cruise control, etc. If anybody has a clue concerning what causes this dilemma, please assist solve ":The Electric or Whimsical Downshift Riddle", Thank you!

aftermarket tach and shift light for 1998 honda civic?

I bought it from a friends whp lost the guidelines i got the tach and stuff figured out since i've put in tachs prior to. What do i need to do to obtain the shift light to work? Do i need to run a wire to the tranny? (Ihave a 5 speed) , or does a wire need to go to the ecu? (I've a 1.6 |4) ?? Assist needed!!

im having problems with my shifter?

I've a 95 civic dx with a sohc vtec swap in it. The previous owners put in a brief shifter. Is there any way to place in a brief shifter crooked? I think that it must be for the reason that i consistantly grind goin in to third and it is difficult to to gain in to second. I also desire to understand the way to discover what sort of transmission i've. Would it be likely that i even now have the dx tranny and is that creating my car slowr?

Why does my 99 Accord shift hard on a downshift?

When I go to pass somebody and it downshifts from 4th to 2nd it seems to hesitate, the engine revs slightly for a moment then clunks into 2nd. It's the just shift that it happens on.
