My Honda Civic Lost its spark, what should i look at?

I own a 1994 Honda civic coupe amongst 1.6 v-tek engine. Only recently the engine lost it is spark, the engine turns over, however theres no spark and it does not start. What could be the dilemma? I was thinking the ignition coil, however if it isn't that, what other thing could be the dilemma?Im not really great with cars, however if the engine is turning over, only not starting, does that mean theres a pretty great chance i Will not need to replace my engine? My buddy was telling me that seeing as it wont start it is the engine, however i'm under the impression it was a dilemma amongst electrical current/starter.

how to tell If I am getting spark?

My 1990 honda accord will not start. It was working fine, and I woke up in the early part of the day to go to work and it would not start. The fuel pump is getting power, filter is great. Couple questions..How can I tell if I'm getting spark besides the aged screwdriver test? Does a voltage meeter work? If it's getting spark, and the fuel pump is working, and filter is great, what other thing can I attempt? I pulled the spark plug cable off of the distributor and it has a white jelly substance on all the ends. Is that normal? Somebody egged my car the other night, is there something somebody could have completed to play a cruel joke? Thanks

What could be the problem with a '91 Civic not producing spark?

I was driving the car and it turned off all of a sudden. It is certain to not start up again. The engine turns fine. The following parts are great:-Timing belt still intact-Battery with a great charge-engine turns over-Ignition coil in distributer is great. Primary coil has under 1 ohm resistance. Secondary coil has 12K ohms resistance.-Replaced ignition control moduleI know there is no spark for the reason that I take a spark plug wire out and I see no spark when attempting to start it.I am baffled as to what other thing it could be. The car has 286,000 miles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Checked the fuses under dash and under hood. They're all great. When key switched in the on position the "check engine" light turns off after 2 seconds indicating it's not a sensor for the reason that the're currently no stored fault codes.
