My wife couldnt start the car this morning, couldnt even put it in neutral...what gives?

The car cranks...however wont start...I understood it may be a fuel or spark issue...however the car wont even shift out of park. I put the key in, held the brake down and not a thing!I noticed that beneath the steering wheel, theres a little slot with a light that used to light green, it wasnt lit today. It looks like one of those starguard antitheft thingies (where you should pop the chip in prior to as well you're able to start it) however when we bought the auto, we were never given the chip or anything...and the light's always been green.It is a 2000 honda civic dx, I am uncertain how for 2, nearly 3 years we have been able to drive it sans chip...any ideas?

Why does my 99 prelude start to vibrate when i accelerate on freeway at about 70mph and

stops when i let go? I've a 99 honda prelude with 140k and i treat it like my baby never rag it or curb check it however only recently as i was driving to work on the freeway i was going about 70 mph and i began to feel a vibration on the gas pedal when i pressed it at those speeds and on my steering wheel too, it sounded similar to a clunkin noise however when i slowed down below like 60 it only stoped it is weird for the reason that theres times it doesent do it at all. At first i though it was the cv joints however individuals tell me those you usualy you hear when you turn and if you did they would make noise at all times. A mechanic told me that it could be the engine mounts however im wondering if it could be something else other than the mounts or tires. it is starting to gain worse on the freeway when i hit those speeds and it is weird for the reason that it just does it when i step on the gas at like 60 or 70 when i let go it stops. Does any one with a mechanic background might know whats going on with my car with what i explained?and any suggestions

Honda Prelude Having Trouble Starting?

I own a 1992 Honda Prelude which has trouble starting sometimes. The engine turns each time however when testing the fuel line by the engine no fuel shot out. The car seems to begin fine in the mornings, however has a bit of difficulties starting later in the day (maybe heat?).The car has near 200k miles on it (everything runs strong however the starting problem). Think it can be a clogged filter, or perhaps is it about time to replace the fuel pump? Any advice is promised to help, thank you.
