my 94 civic isn't starting and when it finally does it runs ruff with a lot of wht smoke outthe exhaust? I only transformed my wires and plugs, also it takes forever to begin. and then when it lastly does it doesn/'t run steady it's very ruff. Also new plugs and wires in it and battery. So anybody have any ideas?it does smell slightly sweet. I've the head kit. Are they difficult to fix? Tell me. Also I had the coolent cap off and the collent shot everywhere. I never seen that prior to either. Another thing?Read more on this topic My 1998 Honda Civic is making a ticking noise when it runs and sometimes it starts and......sometimes it doesnt.? it has 110, 000 miles on it and the timing belt has not been changed, the battery and starter do work. it just starts when the throttle it pushed all the way down. i've heard that it could be the valves offsetting the pistons, and the rods however i am uncertain and i need assist. if here's the case am i better off getting a new motor or ought to i only replace everything?Read more on this topic 1996 Honda Civic DX engine started making deep throaty sound?I've a 1996 Honda Civic DX sedan. Couple of days back I began noticing that the engine sound has suddenly become much deeper and throaty. I'd a recent oil change and also checked my fluids after that and they're OK and I could not spot any leaks. The car runs fine with no difficulties in acceleration, handling etc. and I have not seen any other obvious indications of malicious behaviour! The engine sounds deeper than usual, no matter whether it's idling or running on the road, both with and with no AC running. Every time I start my engine and right when I drive off, the car makes a......poping noise.? I took it to a local Honda repair dealer and they said that it was normal. Something to carry out with my Honda's ABS locks or something. Can somebody assist me? I think the noise I am attempting to detail is dissimilar and this is the reason I think my local Honda dealer may have diagnosed this incorrectly. The noise I hear occurs when I begin to drive off.
