Honda Owners - Are you having problems with your stereo (2004 and newer)?My Honda stereo only went out all of a sudden and since my car is only outside of warranty, the dealership is charging me nearly $400 only to repair it! I talked to a mechanic whose had to replace his stereo TWICE in his 2002 CRV. A buddy has also had troubles with the stereo in her Civic on and off for years. I am attempting to learn the way common this is ... sounds like Honda makes bad stereos.Read more on this topic I have a Honda Civic Hatchback and my stereo cuts out when I drive.?I'll only be driving along and all of a sudden my stereo only cuts out. It turns off for about 2 seconds and then turns back on and starts playing again. Fuses look ok. Anythoughts? I've a 1998 Honda Accord. I replaced the factory stereo with a popular after market brand. Immediately, the following lights don't work on my dashboard (when the lights are turned on at night):Odometer display (LCD numbers appear however will not be illuminated; gas, oil pressure, tach and speedometer lights work)Interior temperature dialInterior temperature display (LCD numbers work, however no illumination on screen)"Auto" button illuminationA/C button illuminationIf every one of the fuses are actually in working purchase, which I'm 95% certain all fuses are in working purchase, I suspect my symptoms indicate a wiring problem developed by the factory stereo replacement. Does anybody have any experience with these symptoms? Has anybody been able to identify the dilemma? I checked the fuses and I believe they're all intact. Additionally, the pairs of fuse / breaker combinations don't indicate any blown fuses.So...I am 90% sure it must be a wiring thing.
