Honda Owners - Are you having problems with your stereo (2004 and newer)?

My Honda stereo only went out all of a sudden and since my car is only outside of warranty, the dealership is charging me nearly $400 only to repair it! I talked to a mechanic whose had to replace his stereo TWICE in his 2002 CRV. A buddy has also had troubles with the stereo in her Civic on and off for years. I am attempting to learn the way common this is ... sounds like Honda makes bad stereos.

I have a Honda Civic Hatchback and my stereo cuts out when I drive.?

I'll only be driving along and all of a sudden my stereo only cuts out. It turns off for about 2 seconds and then turns back on and starts playing again. I do not know what could be causing this however I would prefer to fix the dilemma prior to it does any damage.Any suggestions as to what it could be?Thank you!

'98 Accord: Some dashboard lights are out after factory stereo replacement. Fuses look ok. Any

thoughts? I've a 1998 Honda Accord. I replaced the factory stereo with a popular after market brand. Immediately, the following lights don't work on my dashboard (when the lights are turned on at night):Odometer display (LCD numbers appear however will not be illuminated; gas, oil pressure, tach and speedometer lights work)Interior temperature dialInterior temperature display (LCD numbers work, however no illumination on screen)"Auto" button illuminationA/C button illuminationIf every one of the fuses are actually in working purchase, which I'm 95% certain all fuses are in working purchase, I suspect my symptoms indicate a wiring problem developed by the factory stereo replacement. Does anybody have any experience with these symptoms? Has anybody been able to identify the dilemma? Most significantly, has anybody been able to gain every one of the interior dashboard lights working?Thank you in advance for your assist!!!Thank you for your suggestions. I checked the fuses and I believe they're all intact. Additionally, the pairs of fuse / breaker combinations don't indicate any blown fuses.So...I am 90% sure it must be a wiring thing.
