There is a lever on the floor board. The ignition key fits the lock and turns, however not a thing happens. I do not know this auto...........however I am hoping you do! What is the special trick to getting it opened? ASSIST!!! Need to fill the tank by morning. :-)Read more on this topic 96 Accord 4cyl. (F22B2), hard to start (5 seconds of cranks or so) when the fuel tank is low.?Question:My car is 1996 Honda Accord 4cyl. (F22B2 non-VTEC). When the fuel tank is over half full, the car starts fine. When the fuel tank is under half full, the car has to crank for about 5 sec or so to gain it began. The less the fuel in the tank the longer it requires to crank with the aim to start the auto. Also in cold days it needs several cranks to begin too. So the worst situation is when the tank is nearly empty and I attempt to begin the car in winter morning.Hint:1.Clogged Fuel filter2.Leaking Fuel injector3.Spark plugs/ignition wires4.Bad Distributor/Distributor cap5.Bad Fuel/Ignition/Engine Main relay6.Vaccum line leakage7.Faulty fuel pressure regulator8.Faulty fuel pump (not enough fuel for lubricating the pump?)l8.Coolant temperature sensor9.Ground wireSomeone suggested me to take a number of pics of my engine bay to show how bad the situation is, here they're: http://tinyurl.com/f3ac7I noticed that the're a number of oil/gas stain on the fuel rail, distrbutor base, engine head however I do not know if this affects anything sine they were there the day I bought this car (157,000miles currently, 136,000miles when I got it) however the low-tank-hard-to-start problem just caught my attention a few weeks ago. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.Read more on this topic My gas tank door won't open?I'm currently leasing a 2004 honda civic. uncertain if the dealership will charge me cash to fix this, however it happened only tonight, my gas tank door did not open when i pushed the latch downwards which normally opens the gas tank door. the gas tank door has no key entry so when i'd a near empty tank today i was in big trouble. i opened up my trunk to access the gas tank door cable which was obviously having difficulties since i needed to detach it to open the gas tank door. i've put gas in my car immediately, however it is obvious the cable cord which leads from the latch to the gas tank door isn't working. who pays for this, me or the dealership? i see no way that i or someone else could have use of the cable to damage it. what do you believe?Read more on this topic
