I drive a 2005 Honda Civic. Filled the gas tank yesterday - and gas came pouring out of the...

...hole. Why?!!? I know, I know, you aren't supposed to top off a gas tank. I consistantly only let it fill until it stops and have never had a dilemma prior to. Last night, however, when it stopped I pulled the hose out of the gas tank hole (forgive me as I'm not a mechanic). Gas began pouring out all around the ground. It was not coming out of the hose, however out of my auto. Why did this happen? Did I only fill it too much or is this a thing that needs to be looked at? The entire gas leaking thing sort of freaks me out, so any assist I could get would be appreciated.

1991 Honda Prelude automatic with a 2.1L stalls at low speed only when less than 1/2 tank of gas.?

The dilemma is after I get below a 1/2 tank of gas it starts to stall when I slow down and receive the RPMs below 1000. Just when the gas gets low. I'm able to coast up to a stop sign in Neutral and it is certain to still happen. The down shifting seems normal and smooth. After it stalls all I should do is wait about 15 seconds and it is certain to fire right back up and idle clean. Otherwise the car runs smooth and never has difficulties at highway speeds.Things I've tried…replaced Air Filter,Fuel Filter,Plugs,Wires,Rotor,1 can of Isopropyl,Adjusted Idle,PVC valve,Transmission treatment (improved upshifting smoothness),Motor oil treatment,Checked vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator and it is dry inside and out,Disconnected the vacuum hose to the EGR valve and it still stalled,,There's always pressure in the gas tank when the gas cap is removed.Again a lot thank you if he can provide me a number of advice.Thank you for the quick replys - Actually I've tried both suggestions, I've run 2 bottles of injector clearner and I've also cleaned the throttle body. Again this just happens when the gas tank is low. thanksThanks for the back pressure suggestion, I've tried that as well and no luck.Thank you again for the suggestions. I checked the filler tube and no rust, this is pratically a rust free car which is pretty incredible in MN. The car never stalls going up or down steep hills. I purchased a new fuel pressure regulator and intend to install - I'll let everybody knows if that assist.Well I replaced the fuel regulator and no assist. I pulled the fuel pump and intend to replace. The filter seemed dirty and the majority of noticably it was bent upwards... maybe that's normal however it sure did not leave however maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the filter in the gas when the tank was at 1/8
