Whats wrong with my thermostat?I drive a 1995 1.3(petrol) Honda civic HB. The temp always stays 1/4 up the gauge on normal city driving, however when on the expressway or motorway, the temp goes up to 3/4s of the gauge or even higher esp when my speed hovers between 60-70 mph. and it goes down if i reduce my speed. is this normal? or does my thermostat needs replacing?Read more on this topic 1985 prelude 1.8 2bbl thermostat removal?I'm very unfamiliar with carbohydrate. engines, and my buddies engine temp is up at all times, he has a blown heater core, however that'll not make it overheat, so it must be the thermostat, the upper tube is rock hard when running at high temp (first indication) the sole difficulty is the upper tube intake into the block is about 5 inches long and has multiple entry points and I don't desire to mess this "delicate balance" as he place it of a carbohydrate. motor... I work on injected at all times and have never had this dilemma... as you are able to tell I'm not a mechanic, and do this as a hobby.... can anybody assist with a diagram or an instruction set so I do not eff this thing up, thank you alot guys (girls)FYI... my car = Mitsubishi > Honda > ford06 Evo 8 MR @ 27psi, HKS Exhaust 280 Race Camshaft, Turbo XS UTEC, GReddy Type RS Blow Off Valve, Hallman Evolution RX Boost Controller,Hotchkis Stage 1 TVS Programme, HKS Max Twin Plate Clutch Kit,cylinder sleeving and tuning by SJRR… dyno @ 458 AW hp (street driven)and I've no trouble getting girls in it or in the back seat... maybe you ought to attempt and receive laid a tiny bit more your kinda angry... or it is only the pinto that throws your sex appeal off... only a guess tho...Read more on this topic I just bypassed my thermostat on my 95 Honda civic 1.6?And immediately the tranny will not shift at the right RPM and when it shifts it jumps into that gear. What could be wrong or not plugged in? Does that thermostat valve have anything to carry out with that??? Thank you in advanceI only took out that valve cause it went bad on me and I do not truly need this motor cause in 3 weeks i've a swap coming up.I put the thing back in and it stills runs like shyt. I took it out origianlly cause it failed. I think i can have a electrical problem.Read more on this topic
