How do I tell if a car needs a new transmission?I went to have a look at a 1993 honda accord I'm thinking of buying. However I noticed a sort of delay in "pick up" when I adjust my gear from park to "D4". After several seconds the car picks up though. However if I start driving from gear "1" the pick up is normal. I was under the assumption that driving on "D4" always was ok however my buddy told me D4 is just for highway. Can somebody tell me if this car has a transmission issue that'll need replacement?
