2000 civic engine was soak by water?

GF decided to was engine amongst auto..immediately it doesn't accelerate, also sometimes it wont evn crank at all, and when it starts it idles by itself the the needle goes up and down..and also the gears sometimes dont bite as in i've it in reverse and press the gas and it doesn't move.. all this difficulties after it was soaked..do i need to replace something or only wait till it dry...it is been 3 days and it seem that it got worst..immediately car doesn't have any poer at all and i only bought batery 3 month ago??..helpp plss

Can this really happen? Water damage to a connecting rod?

I read this story here...http://www.mycarsucks.com/rants/hond...nda_Civic.htmI cannot believe that to be sincere, water can not damage a connecting rod. I think his car may be a lemmon, however I am absolutely certain Honda has to fix it under the warranty... right?I never heard of Hydro-locking on the aged V8 motors... then again, they are not high compression motors so I guess that may be why.

98 Honda Civic Ex the water was like Up my knees !?

was dark and I get into a street which the water was kind high a level a little up to my knees my car went off immediately I'm able to make do not crank I'm able to hear just a clickin noice immediately they told me that water get into the pc however that is not for the reason that the auto's swtich would not even turn On and it does everything works only do not crank is all any recommendations?I drove the car like half block I was going slow however I notice that the car star moving funky for the reason that my car I got it sport so is only a Few inches from ground I know for certain that the hole muffler was under water and my cold air intake as well all on the water so it may that only shoke and immediately I must clean the carburator or the stared get wet a number of ppl said that the brushes on the star it are wet I know a number of mechanich I hate new cars my first car was a 1972 renoault I knew everything on that car second car was a honda however that never happened to me b4I hear most about hydro-locked How I'm able to check that w/o taking the car w/ the mechanic? for the reason that if I do it they would attempt to rip me off
